The Companies Act, 1956 was replaced by the new The Company Act, 2013 with several reforms in the law that changed the area framework of regulations for companies as well as stakeholders of the companies. In 2016, National Company Law Tribunal was established under section 408 of the Companies Act, 2013 in order to fast track the disposal of corporate disputes. In the first phase, the NCLT was established with a headquarters in New Delhi and 11 branches with regional offices in New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Calcutta and Mumbai. - Application under section 2(41) of the Companies Act, 2013 for change in financial year;
- Application under section 7(7) of the Companies Act, 2013 to Tribunal where company has been incorporated by furnishing false or incorrect info or by any fraudulent action;
